software window to house a web page? help.

I hope this is the right place to post this.

Basically I'm developing a PHP-driven web application which is housed inside a little pop-up window. But I don't want to have to have a bigger, parent page, from which to pop up the window, I want it just to appear in its right size. The only way this can be done, I'm guessing, is to actually make it an application (hence VB, probably a .exe) with the php page housed inside. This would be similar to how Kazaa file-sharing app. works... it's an exe file, but when it loads it has a HTML page inside it.

Can anyone tell me how I might begin to do this? I'm a total non-web application novice, so please be kind!

Would U make a web page which showed in the app??If u will do it by the way that i guessed,u can use ms web browser control to do it...U can find some tutorials in the network like:http://www.vbwm.com/art_2001/IE05/
