Post vba (Access) and DOS

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to programming and I've done the search in the forums and didn't get a bite.

Ok, my problem is the following.
I have Access front end w/ SQL Server back-end.

What I am trying to do or what has been assigned to me is to automate the obsolete process of a database from Access.

So I now have a dynamic script(?) i don't know the proper terminology.

I started using a .bat file w/ isql and i managed to figure that one out.

But, my big question is how does Access (VBA) and the .bat file interact w/ each other?

Thanks,
Brian
