Verify if user exists in Outlook.
Admit have a var "my_var" filled with USER1, is possible to find in Outllok address list if USER1 existis if existis resolve the USER1 and return complete name...

I presume that's Verify if user exists in Outlook.

Is it Outlook express or Microsoft Outlook?

If it's Microsoft Outlook you can try the object model or a third party control.
