    Access problem

I'm doing a crosstab query that uses a date the user has to fill in on a form. The format of the date is mm/dd/yyyy. I get an error message "The microsoft jet database engine does not recognize '[forms]![frmreportoptions]![txtfromdate]' as a valid fieldname or expression".

How do I code around this?

Take the user input and put it in the query through normal string operations. You can't reference the forms collection in a query.

Moving to VB because when you get to that point it's a VBA matter.
