auto submit wap form

Hi im trying to do something that relativley simple in html IM JUST TRYING TO AUTO SUBMIT A WML FORM WHEN THE PAGE LOADS. MY IMMEDIATE THOUGHTS WAS TO USE THE ON TIMER EVENT TO SUBMIT FORM HOWEVER IM NOT SURE EXACTLEY IF THIS WOULD WORK. OBVIOUSLY I CANT USE JAVASCRIPT AS WAP DOESNT SUPPORT THIS. ANY IDEAS GUYS

I think you should use the onenterforward event instead of the ontimer event. The onenterforward event is raised when the browser loads a card (Noted that this event is not raised if you go backwards).

An example about auto submitting a wml form when a card loads can be found at http://www.developershome.com/wap/w...SendingData.asp

To understand more about WML events, have a look at http://www.developershome.com/wap/wml/wmlEvents.asp

WHAT ABOUT VARIABLES I NEED TO SUBMIT VARIABLES TO AN EXTERNAL ASP PAGE EVERY 5 SECONDS. CAN AN ONENTERFORWARD EVENT DO THIS AND IF SO WHAT WOULD BE THE CORRECT SYNTAX

It seems that you have not read the article at http://www.developershome.com/wap/w...SendingData.asp in detail. The example in that article shows you how to submit WML variables to an ASP page.

The onenterforward event should be used if you want to do something when a WML card loads.
The ontimer event should be used if you want to do something after a certain time.
Have a look at http://www.developershome.com/wap/wml/wmlEvents.asp to learn different WML events.
