Creating a wap site

Hi, sorry for the newbieness but i'd like to create a wap site hosted on my site's server

How does one go about this

I uploaded a .php file with html within it to my server

I then open /wap (name of folder)

Works in my nokia 6230 (new xhtml phone) but others cant open it in wap browser?

Wot do i need to do??

Not all phones support xhtml.
To get a page to display in wml you need to set header types, something like:

<card id="name" title="Title">

<p>stuff</p>

</card>

</wml>

WML is very unforgiving, so code must be valid - also check out w3schools for allowable tags. Good luck.
