Html Refreshing Table To Wap Site?

so you wat to rip off bbc content and stick it on a wap site?

i reckon you're either an air anorak or a cab driver

this is what you'd need to do in the language of your choice:

open the page

find the bit that says "updated at" and discard everything before it

find the bit that says "01325 332 811" and discard everything after it

this will leave you with the time it was updated and all the data

you could then replace all the font and formatting tags then echo this out through a wml front end that you could access on your phone.

supply you with a code sample to do that for you? lol yeah sure only if you supply me with (if i'm right in my assumption of you being a cabbie) a free taxi tomorrow from liverpool to loughborough and a return one on sunday night - plus some beer money for me to spend while there would be good too

i think that would be a fair exchange.

in theory that's how i'd do it, just watch out incase the beeb change the way they format the page as this would break it.

ps as a former bbc employee with an open invite to return i'd suggest not ripping off thier data.........

arent the bbc ripping off the airport then because they were using the flight scheduling without the permission of the airport in the first place (trust me i know people who work at the airport), but in reallity the scheduling data is free to anyone and the bbc cant surely copyright it claim it as there data even if it is on there site??

the bbc ripping people off, that'd be 'bloody badly corrupt' hummmmm maybe you have a point...... lol no they will have deals in place somewhere higher than your mate and anyway it's done in the name of journolism (also spelt scum)- you can get away with a lot using that as an excuse....... sorry i've had a disliking for journos since 1997 when the yorkshire post stitched me up..... long story.....

what would you code this in? i'd suggest php but that's my answer to just about everything.

if you're using php fopen would be a good place to start.....
