MMS to email
hello hello,
got a tricky one to test you guys,

i can send a MMS picture message to an email, but how does one send a picture message back to a mobile via email?
i tried just hittin greply and attach a small gif file but it doesn't want to know...

The emails address from the mobile phone looks something like this 447891372492@orangemms.net

any ideas??

You just got to send an email to that mms email addy. But all networks dont support it. My network blocked it

from my understanding you need to encode and send a smil file to the phone, thing with mms though is it's a bit pants as not all networks support it

smil is te packet of data that the phone gets which it understands to be a mms

a gateway = something you can send sms, mms and wap push through....... the kinda of thing you can get from a decent aggregator or you can get something like kannel and do it yourself.

some networks will just let you send files to phones as attachments in emails, some need to have the image embedded in to the email but not all networks support emails as they're commercially savvy. heck why let users do that for free when they can change x for it.....

anyway not all networks support mms and crossnetwork mms isn't as solid as it could be.
