i think i understand what you mean, and basically there is one simple way to do it, download the software for your phone (ie you phones management suite). install it, then you have one of three options.. buy a data cable, if you have bluetooth enabled pc and phone is bluetooth just search for your phone from the pc, and finally same as bluetooth but with the infrared (if ur phone and pc support it.. all of these ways will (if supported by your mobile) allow you to view files on your mobile and or transfer them to view on the pc. a list of items available follows but this is by no means a complete list nor is it stating that it WILL work on ALL mobiles.. you get what you get and unless you know how you cant change that.

music/ringtones folder

images/photos folder

messages/email/mms/ folders

contacts (supported by most newer phones)

internet connections (means you can connect to the net using your mobile as a modem) not always supported.
