I have spent the last 2 days googling every website that must exist in the world and cannot find the answer to my question.
I need my WAP site to detect the resolution of the device/phone viewing the page and redirect it to an optimized version. If I can’t detect the resolution I would be fine w/ pulling the phone make and model off of the user agent and loading whatever would best fit that way. I can’t figure out how to do either of those. I am writing in WML, and have access to host PHP, CGI, or Perl scripts on my site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much, ~Drew |

Have a search around the mambo server site (gallery script). They have a couple of modules that do just this. There is a thesis document by a Finnish guy that has just what you are looking for. If you can't find it, let me know, I can send you it.
Basically, is seaches the $_SERVER['HTTP_ACCEPT'] using PHP - really good PDF.

Mambo looks pretty cool. I had it running at home for a while. However, it was missing one vital ingredient for what I was looking for in a CMS, so I am currently re-developing my own again
