Simply putting a link to the file doesn't work.

I'm guessing in order to download .mmf ringtones to my phone requires WMLscripting or something which I am totally unfamiliar with.

Any help would be appreciated.

Peace.

I have samsung e600 and had same problem. Way round is to rename your .mmf file to .mid to download over wap. Then once it is in phone, rename the file .mmf. This worked for me and all my own web page downloads. I think Wap only recognise .mid this way.

Please don't crosspost. It makes it much harder to determine where to answer you. And start a new thread rather than hijacking an existing one.

My god, I was looking at that code thinking this is familiar then after loading it up realised you'd quoted me and it was mine lol

I just fired it up on localhost and it returned this:

PHP Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE wml PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD WML 1.1//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/wml_1.1.xml"><wml>
<card id="card1" title="web2txt/wap">
<p><b>Phone data:</p>
<p><br/></p>
<p>Accept: text/xml,application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5</p>
<p>Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7</p>
<p>Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate</p>
<p>Accept-Language: en-gb,en;q=0.5</p>
<p>Cache-Control: max-age=0</p>
<p>Connection: keep-alive</p>
<p>Host: localhost</p>
<p>Keep-Alive: 300</p>
<p>User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1</p>

</card>
</wml>

When you run it in firefox or ie what happens, is it picking up any of the header variables at all?

ok i have sorted it, for one i gave my server setup a complete overhaul last night had to reinstall the full thing due to another problem anyway the file needs to be called up as a php file, i was trying to call it as a wml and that was wrong, ive also tried calling it as a .html file but this is what is returned

data.html shows
Code:
The XML page cannot be displayed   Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. Invalid at the top level of the document. Error processing resource 'http://localhost/data.html'. Line 10, Position 30  echo "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>";

data.wml shows one line "Phone data"

data.php shows
Code:
 Phone data:

 User-Agent: WinWAP/3.2 (3.2.1.28; Win32)
Accept: application/vnd.wap.wmlc, text/vnd.wap.wml, image/vnd.wap.wbmp, image/gif, image/jpeg, image/png, application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc, text/vnd.wap.wmlscript
Host: localhost
Cookie: ccss=2

as i say it works now and i can only put it down to my configuration especially as now i also have things that never worked localhost before working perfectly sorry am justa newbie and well i suck at it haha

no it wont, it is dependant on the network providing the msisdn as part of the normal http headers, most of them don't

superpix: to be honest i'm bored sick of people asking the same questions without using the search feature first. your post is unrelated to the thread and your question has been answered many times before
