Site testing using OpenWave Simulator
I was wondering if anybody has any experience using the OpenWave Phone Simulator v.7.0?
The scenario is as follows, we are developing a series of different applications for use on mobile devices, and we would like to have some way of testing the application on different devices. We are using WURFL / WALL in a Java Enterprise environment.
Basically I have the following questions, - We would like to have some tool to test the output from our servlets, we have tried using WinWap and are now looking at the OpenWave Phone Simulator. Are there other alternatives?
- Using the OpenWave Phone Simulator, are there some way to include different user agent profiles? The simulator ships with a phone profile that has it all, we would like to test with older devices as well - devices that cannot display XHTML for instance. What would be really nice is a library containing different mobile devices that can be loaded from the simulator.
If someone has experiences with other tools for testing, I would appreciate any information on those as well.
