SMS - PHP, which is the best
Hey,
Andymoo I enjoyed your article very much as the sticky at the top. I do have to ask something though. Which one is the best, you gave a shotgun approach to the subject. But never showed which ones are best. Here is what I have: I will have less than 1,000 a month. I don't mind paying, just that the service works all the time. All the people will be based in the US, all on Nextel/Sprint, Verizon, and Cingular. Which would be the best to have for that? Thanks, Chad

well going shotgun and no sh1t - mx telecom perform very well most of the time, they, like all aggregators get their moments but this is likely to be down to the actual networks and those problems will arise with any aggregator you choose.
the problem with mx and sending to the us is that the sms appear from uk numbers, yes you can fix the originator but the mnos over there can get way anal and drop the messages so they never reach the end user. we could get around that by using mx us shortcodes but no.... don't nextel, verizon and sprint users all get email addresses? wouldn't that work? MX Telecom, MBlox, Win PLC they all have good reputations, the chances are if you're going through a sub-aggregator they'll be connecting through MBlox, they seem to be everywhere. Try and avoid Q-Mobile - (Message to Leon - you should have paid us) they shafted us month after month so we dropped them like a brick and now use Cellsynt for our US traffic. Maybe send Tobias at Cellsynt an email, he's one of the few people in this industry who I can say is one of the nice guys and might be able to let you send unbilled messages through their US shortcode. Good luck with it!

Thanks Andy,
I just wanted to get your opinion on which one would be the best. I think they do have email addresses, but asking my clientel to give the phones email address they will look at me like I am nuts. So, that's a big ... no. ![]() I will look at them, and what is Tobias's email address? Just send it to me in a PM. Thanks! Chad |
