the nearest thing i can remember was a farce, i found a company online who claimed they could stream radio stations to mobile phones, i'm an ex radio presenter and provide sms to studio services for a couple of stations so this interested me.
laffed when i found out that what they thought of as wap streaming was nothing more than the station routing a signal to a phone line the user could call to hear the output. i told them it was old hat and that radio tees did it years ago. the only way i've handled audio in wap is by hyperlinking to polyphonic ringtone downloads, heck if you find out there is a way to beep at people onload or somehow please let us all know! |
