Unhappy Sports project help??

Hi,

My name is Clem. I'm a final year student in university here in Ireland. I have been given a final year project (FYP) which involves creating a WAP page. I am aware that WAP is probably being passed out right now by the new 3G phones but I still have to work with the title I am given, so I'm just going to go ahead with it anyway.
The WAP page is a sports results/news/odds web site targeted at an Irish audience. It was plain sailing up until a few weeks ago. I had the card layout done, the WBMP graphics I was including and it looked on track. The token spanner in the works that most projects inevitably have has now been thrown.
Here's where I am hoping someone can help me. One panellist has asked me to try updating the WAP pages using my mobile phone and not from my laptop like I planned. I have written the WAP display in WML pages but now it is required to investigate the possibility of updating the service through my mobile.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do through WAP and what direction should be taken if it is possible. It does sound a bit far fetched to me that the WML code that displays the service can be updated through a phone but I just need to make sure.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Clem.

you can do this with wap but not with wml

wml is static, you'd need to use something like php to talk to the database and then you would be able to update the wap site through the phone and so on....

good luck with it

Thanks Andy. I had my suspicions but I had to confirm. I'll look into PHP.

Cheers,

Clem.
