Hiya,
What makes the stickiest content on your wap site? Is it your own, free feeds or licensed stuff? We get loads of clicks each day for the few free polyphonic ringtones and colour wallpapers we have on offer but most of our wap traffic comes from customers who've ordered the item and need to download it. They come through need and not will. I'd like to make the wap site stronger in it's own right, more content, greater reaching payment mechanisms and more. Please contribute with your thoughts, hints on good wap design practice, links to resources, tutorials and anything else you feel is worthy of note. I've been promotified to Moderator in this forum so am trying to get it busier while I work how best to abuse the power, ahhh power araaaahhhhaaaa! ![]()

So you want the visitors to want to come to your site right?
Add more stuff. Since your selling stuff you can buy a forum. |

buy? please explain this to me! lol we code all of our stuff in house mostly from scratch but sometimes we do rewrites of os stuff and mod it to our needs.i'd like to build the wap site into something that gets traffic in it's own right, not just because people are after a freebie or collecting an order. adding more stuff is what we want to do, what is the right stuff to add though? we've thought about doing a wap chat service. has anyone set one up before, if so what problem did you come across with it and what benefits has it brought to the table? jailbox, have you run a wap forum before? tell more....... cheeers |

I was thinkin of wiforums. Buy and upload it or whatever. Anyways, add a forum. Write it yourself if you want but a forum will attract people. Have you seen prodigits? Over 150000 registred users. I dont have forum at my site because i dont have money to buy it or knowlege to make it. I have problems even writing simple codes (see my other post) |

I administer a local infomation portal and am currently developing wireless access to my resources...
one of the more popular apps I have on my regular web site is local movie showtimes... I have hacked the "ripper script"(Y!) so I now have all the movie times for all the local theaters available on my WAP server... now if I coule just figure out how to put advertising "in the cards"... PAX... |

Seem that one before but I wasn't that inspired by it, I might give it another look though. I like the Crazy Speed Date service from Jumbuck but the 'cost' word springs to mind..... Jumbuck's client list is hardly small time. |
