Hi all,
I have a ringtone sitting up on my server and though i'm able to download it through the wml file and play it, I can't save it. I'm using audio/mid as my MIME type as it appears that unlike with PC browsers, using some oddball type like "xyz" doesn't give me the option to save the content on the phone, only a 406 error. I'm clearly not the first one to run into this problem but I can't figure out for the life of me how to save the downloaded content. Is this a carrier and/or phone specific problem where content has to be tailored for each of the thousands of combinations which exist ? thanks, A. ![]() |

We have thousands and thousands of ringtone customers but I've only encountered this problem twice and am ashamed to say I haven't got an answer......
All I could suggest is visit this URL on your phone to see what MIME types it claims to support to see if it gives you a better idea: http://67.18.69.166/cellinfo.php
