Hey guys, hoping you could help with this. I've been trying to code a very simple wap site as a test to see if I can get it working, and I've set up a subdomain for it in my hosting account (wap.****.com and URL point to the same place). According to telnet connecting to wap.****.com and GET'ing / gives the same result (including the headers
) as connecting to URL and GET'ing /wap/, but when I try to view it on my phone (Nokia 8310) the main address works fine but I get 'Response Unknown' or 'Page Unavailable' from the subdomain address. Both addresses work fine in Nokia Mobile Browser Simulator. The file being served is 'index.php' with a content-type of text/vnd.wap.wml, set using a header() command. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be really grateful, Thanks |

i'll try on my 7250i if you want to send the address in a prvate message.
response unkown is common on my phone when wapping, it's usually okay after i've cleared the cache and powered down. sometimes i can't even get my networks home page..... wap sucks really. it's hardly the thing they advertised it to be years ago and gprs aint that much better either.
