urgent - mobile applications

hai,
i would like to develope a mobile application using .NET. im new to this environment. i need what are the tools should be needed to run mobile applications.
I would like to know more about the mobile technology.
after developing applications how would we host the applications and where do run that applications, what kind of things will be carried over while we integrate the real application into the mobile device.
i request u all can anybody help on this case.please..
