Angry Verizon Handsets
this may not be the appropriate question for this forum but i thought i'd ask.
why does verizon make it difficult to extract urls from sms's?

someone here must know how to extract urls from verizon handsets
this is aggravating

Is it verizon or is it the handset itself....

What do you mean extract the URLs from SMS -
what are you trying to do exactly?

Are you trying to follow a link that has been sent by SMS?

for example on the motorola razr's, if i were to send an sms with a url along with, i have no way to follow the link.

thanks but no, that doesn't help.

one particular handset is the verizon motorola max ve.
i've sent sms with urls in multiple formats like:

http://google.com
http://google.com/
http://www.google.com
http://www.google.com/

and i'm just unable to follow any links with an sms.

the options that this handset is giving me are:

1. forward
2. reply w. copy
3. save quick text
4. lock
5. add to contacts
6. message info
7. send message

and none of those option give me the ability to follow or extract url links.

however, there are some other handsets like the voyager and the lg vx9400 that if you press the send buttolg n it will bring to a page where you can extract links and follow them/
