WAP 2.0 and xHTML

hi i was just wondering if you could offer me any help. I want to create a WAP site, ive sorted out the server stuff and my mobile phone can access my webserver. I want to create a WAP site for a new phone, with WAP 2.0. I was just wondering what language is it xHtml, if it is what editior can i use and will i be able to use php and mysql alongside this.

I know i can create a wml site with a backend database, but i want to put some colour and has its just for newer phones.

Any help on how to create a WAP site for WAP 2.0 phones. Please.

xhtml is just like html, just the latest version. You can do almost everything in mobile xhtml as you can in normal xhtml. (and a bit more).

MP xhtml is almost the same as regular xhtml, so a regular editor should suffice.
Try searching the devhsed forums, many suggestions in the PHP & lounge section. Personally, I use ACEhtml - it is cheap to buy, has a trial download too, and it has all the functionalities that I am looking for. Good luck.

Nokia has developed a WAP/WML editor called Nokia Mobile Internet Toolkit. It can be used for WAP page authoring. Markup languages such as WML and XHTML MP are supported. It validates the WML or XHTML MP markup code as you type in the editor. It can be downloaded from Nokia's website free of charge. However, it is written in Java and its performance may be a little bit lower than some other WAP editors. It may not be the best WAP editor, but you can try it as it can be downloaded for free.
