Wap 2.0 using asp.net 3.5
I am wondering if their is anything I have to do special to get an asp.net 3.5 page to work with as a wap 2.0 page. I have heard that this is possible but I am using the openwave v7 simulator and am having no luck in getting anything other than xhtml page working with it. I trying to allow server access through a wap page and display a datagrid, so if anyone can suggest a better emulator or what I might be doing wrong it would be much appreciated, Thanks

But What I need to do is get asp controls working with them, because I need to loginto a server and display a datagrid in my wap application. I answered half my question on my own, so I figured I would post it incase others needed it for help. This site
[blogs.msdn.com/trobbins/archive/2007/07/13/mobile-web-development-with-asp-net-2-0.aspx] has the entire list of what asp controls equate to in mobile web application, so between that and using this site: [blogs.msdn.com/webdevtools/archive/2007/09/17/tip-trick-asp-net-mobile-development-with-visual-studio-2008.aspx] you are able to design an entire wap page using visual studio 2008. All I am missing is the knowledge of a good emulator so I can truly test what my pages will look like on a cell phone |
