WAP design references ?
Hi Guys,
My first post here so be gentle... i've recently started playing with WAP, i've installed all i need, working with PHP or plain WML - i'm not looking for programming tips (so far, i've managed this...) what i was looking for is a couple of good looking/good UI practice WAP sites for reference - sites that practice simplicity, which are easy to understand and navigate - sites which you saw and were impressed (from the look, the user interaction, navigation, theme etc) I'd be very happy to get some reference links from you guys, since i'm sure you've seen lots of WAP sites. BTW, references to "Have a look and DON'T do something like this" are also welcome... TIA Butchman

Welcome to Dev Shed. Do you mean mHTML sites or WML sites?
Most important things I think are always having links to navigation, not so many images and only relevant things on the page. For news sites, possibly abbreviated versions of news articles too. I have no desire to read a 3000 word article on a phone - much rather 300.... Sites I like on the mobile are: http://bbc.co.uk/mobile - simple and what I news am looking for when mobile http://mtv3.fi/handy - same, but for local TV (Finnish), however, too many images for my liking http://wap.fantasy.premierleague.com - scaled down version of the full site, quicker and fewer steps in processing.
