What do I need to make a WAP site?

Guys,

A complete Newbie to WAP design. Have done websites for a number of years but would like to venture into the Wireless side of things.

What language is it in? What Hosting is required?...

You know, try and sell it to me...

Regards,
Ash.

basic wap sites are written in wml for older phones and xhtml for newer phones. You don't need any special hosting just another mime type so your server knows how to parse the files.

hope this helps

yeah like the nokia 7250i and loads of others can read html but xhtml is better suited to mobile use, that's where building wap sites that work on numerous handsets can become a bit tricky.
