WML & HTML
I hope you can help guys, since we launched the WAP site we’ve been having a problem, the html site doesn't seem to work. After trying to fix it our server said it seems when 1 works the other doesn’t.
We’ve had to add this to the htaccess for the WAP site to work if we take it off the html will work but wml won’t: htaccess: Options MultiViews Indexes FollowSymLinks AddType text/vnd.wap.wml .wml DirectoryIndex index.wml RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ /index.wml [R] Redirect temp /index.html http://mobile-empire.com Any ideas? ![]() |

You're making the index page your wml index page then redirecting any traffic for index.html to mobile-empire.com which your htaccess then points to index.wml
As for what to do, I've been up ten minutes, let me get more coffee and I'll try to mull it over later and get back to you later on today.... There are posts here on using php to work out if it's a web or wap device then redirecting them accordingly.

Yes we’re redirecting any traffic to index.wml otherwise traffic would be going to index.html as our server advised.
Am still trying, any extra help would be appreciated. |
