Wordpress WAP 2.0 plugin with ad revenues

My latest mini project.

plugs into wordpress, returns valid xhtml mp markup, has built in mobile advertising from admob.com and tries to adhere to the .mobi standards.

Thoughts? Worth installing or did I just find another way to skin a cat?

yeah but the wp-mobile/php script that comes with it isn't that great.

the code is all over the place and breaks in and out of php it's a bitch to work on so i took that and built it from the ground up.

So are you actually using it on your site(s)?
I have done one for Drupal, but I am having a bit of an issue
a) uploading
b) making a new version for Drupal v5x

Yes, I'm using it on my personal site. I've got the WURFL WordPress plugin installed to redirect any mobile devices through to wp-mobile.php

The redirect in itself is a problem though as it totally breaks from the good practice stuff the .mobi site goes into. they recommend thematic consistency so that each page only has one url that will work on a number of devices and platforms.

I'm also using that plugin on my girlfriends site to test, it was just drag drop then check out on my phone and it works!

i know nothing about drupal, i thought you were the man for that!

one of the other things my plugin does is use that list of ip addresses, carriers and countries to show the user (if a match is found) what carrier they're using and in which country.

thematic consistency / one web supported.
meets mtld guidelines
meets w3 mobile guidelines
validates
piece of cake to install
send cache headers to client
has realtime wap traffic monitor (kinda cool)

how you getting on with your drupal thing?

are you going for mtld dotmobi certification? i'm thinking i might..... just for the hell of it. others have said i should be certified before, i don't think they meant it in a nice way tho!

I will check out your plugin when I get back. I think I will move over to Wordpress.

Must admit that the current .mobi plugin for WP is pretty poor - sure yours will be a lot better

I am getting mighty disillusioned with Drupal.

I haven't ported the module to v5 yet, and still not uploaded the actual module.
I know a few people are using it though.

Not sure about the certification, may look at that when I get home.
