Adding files for download

I'm trying to insert a couple of files into my site for other users to download but I'm not sure how to go about this.

The files are video files, one an MPEG the other a WMV. Can anyone tell me how I go about achieving this

Any help/advice appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to upload them and people should be able to access the files directly using the web address. If this starts to play in Windows Media Player (rather than downloading) you can either create a link to the file then right-click and select download target, or create a script (such as PHP) which will force the download of the file.
