which one do you know how to use? Premire has a titleing engine built in which is very easy to control. After effects lets you do some amazing text effects but is generally harder to get to grips with.

I'm a big fan of AviSynth scripts. A very short (two line) script could add the title. You just have to re-render it with another tool, like VirtualDub or TMPGEnc, depending on your output format. All these tools are open-source (but only run in Windows) for someone like me who's too poor to own any Adobe products.

But yeah, I've used Premiere and it is possible. I just never used it enough to be able to do so quickly (always found the program kind of bloated for anything I did with it).
