An 'explorer' style file browser?
Hi, I'm new to Dev Shed.
I'm trying to create a web page that will display the contents of a particular folder (i.e filenames with links to those files). It needs to be 'self-updating' so that it requires minimal maintenance. Any ideas on how I might go about this? ![]() |

If you are using a webserver, then in Apache for example, just ensure that directory browsing is enabled. That will automagically display everything in the chosen directory. If you are using server-side technology, then PHP for example can spice things up a bit ![]() Where do you need this?

The webserver option (although much simpler) wouldn't be practical under the circumstances. Does anyone have any code to perform this task or something similar? |
