Any standards regarding banner size?
Hello, I was wondering, are there any standards regarding the size of banners for a website? In other words, if I am developing a template then should I abide to some standards when preparing space for adverts? I am asking because I found the following website;

That is pretty much right. There is a standards body called IAB, so you can search for 'iab banner sizes' to get the official info if you want to.
As a short guide, the most popular banner sizes used in the industries that I've dealt with before are:
468x60
728x90
300x200
120x600
160x600
But, every advertiser has their own preferences, and some have their own sizes. 99% of the time they'll have something to fit into the standard banner sizes, so try to find something that suits your design.

Thanks for your reply. So ideally if I am developing a template then I should make sure to allow enough room for such banners (when site is going to have banners). Thanks again.
