Archiving image catalogue

I am looking for a software package to archive a catalogue of about 1000 pictures. Each picture needs to be catalogued with about 20 unique fields all of which can be boolean searched producing results showing thumbnails, full image links and all catalogue information.

Trouble is ordinary photo album software is too simplistic, not enough searchable fields etc. and proper museum / gallery systems are too big and need to be run on a server. I need to be able to produce a standalone Windows based cd-rom for distribution to museums / galleries etc.

Anybody know of appropriate software? Thanks Chris
