For me, its MyIE2, which is not a browser because it uses IE module, but it adds a lot of additional features on it - that's how IE could and should be, if only Microsoft has a better sence for people... it's my suggestion to all the guys who are using IE to upgrade it to MyIE2, you cannot be dissapointed with all those fetures (tabbed browsing, great popup killer, form filler, AD Hunter, great drag&drop features, a lot of plugins and skins and much much more!) - more info and free download at http://www.myie2.com/ (lite version is only 785 KB large!) - try it and tell me how you like it.

Mozilla FireFox, hands down.

Its W3C compliant on almost every spec (XML, XHTML, HTML, CSS, ECMAScript/Javascript, etc), has awesome features like tabs, pop-up blocking, ad blocking; a ton of available skins and plug-ins for various functionality extensions.

Just download it and try it out... you'll never need another browser.

Hmm... how long until firefox is at the 1.0.. they say it's not stable at .7 or .8 versions.

I'll check out myie.. but is it easy to uninstall without messing up options? I installed a mozilla beta once on my old pc and it messed up everything even after I uninstalled it, heh.

I've been running Mozilla Firebird since v0.5, without any stability problems. Firebird is a huge improvement over the standard Mozilla browser (faster, smaller profile) - you won't have any issues on your system w/ it.

cool, thanks

just wondering why they say it's still unreliable until version 1.0 on the download page...?

also, why don't they replace standard mozilla with firefox or whatever if it is so much better?

thanks

Mozilla is going to be replaced by FireFox, sometime after FireFox hits 1.0.

The stability message is essentially just a disclaimer against liability. FWIW, all software carries this kind of (or similar) disclaimer, not just FireFox.

Just try it already! lol

I'll chime in for Firefox. I can't believe I used IE for such a long time before switching to Firebird/Firefox. Firefox's pop-up blocker is second to none Whenever I have to use IE on another computer, the pop-ups always catch me off-guard because I've been so spoiled.

I have always used IE, but here recently I also started to use FireFox a lot, and I must agree. FireFox is definitely the best, I don't know why I still open IE browser a lot, still..

drg, you bet I am

Scythe: I know why am I opening it... because MyIE2 makes it perfect!

STEELV: if you install MyIE2, you will get another icon for you brand new browser created under IE engine... you will always be able to start any other browser including IE himself, and preform full uninstallation without any bad affects on your PC, so no worry. I suggest it to everyone, you can check how many possitive upgrades can be done on IE, under a file less than 800kb!

Happy testing!

I got firefox .8 seems pretty good but i can't figure out how to add new items for example..

if you type in the address bar:

dict hello

it will go to dictionary.com and search for the word hello. I can't find all of these, nor how to add my own unique ones. thanks.

Hi there, I came across this thread, so I downloaded FireFox to see if I liked it or not.
Well, I installed it and opened it, but it won't load any pages at all. Everytime I type in a URL it gives me an error saying "www.blah.com cannot be found, please try again later".
I installed it again to see if I could repair it (if that is what it needed), but it didn't make a difference.
Have any of you seen this? If so, how did you fix it?

I've never used another browser before, (besides IE that is) so it could be something simple and I wouldn't know it. Heh
Thanks

I use Opera exclusively unless the site requires IE.
