best font for 800x600 resolution??
Hi there,
Was just wondering does anyone know a good font to use when designing for 800x6oo resolution??ive tried alot of the ones on my computer and they're all coming out a bit blurred.is there any way around this or will it be like this for all fonts because of the low resolution?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Laurie ![]() |

Hi Laurie, Hmm, why do you want to make a site for that resolution anyhow? Most folks nowadays are using 1024x728 for their resolution. 17" monitors are the standard now, and have been for a few years. Usually sticking with Arial, Verdana, Times, etc. will do ya just fine. They will look super in the 1024x728 resolution also. Hope this helps! ..::Superfrappe::.. |

A 14pt or higher sans-serif font like Arial will probably look the cleanest. But there is nothing you can really do about the blur. Every user has a different computer with different settings.
As long as your page is readable you're covered in that regaurd.

you definately want to make your site viewable in 800*600, I've been checking the latest web stats from various sources and approx 40% of people browse at this resolution.

I agree! Most older people I know use 800x600 because their vision is not as great as it once was. Also alot of people don't surf with their browser maximized. So even in larger resolutions there's a high chance your site will be viewed at 800x600. |
