I need ideas about how to build the content page so it looks nice without having too much graphics... :/

Latest community posts along with small graphics that identify their general topics (see slashdot.org -- Apache-related posts get an Apache graphic, etc.)? Results of most recent matches? Site news? Current standings of teams and players that play the most?
Also, I'd suggest removing the Admin thing from the sidebar and accessing the administrative interface through a URL only you and other admins know. That's both an aesthetics and a security issue. Colin

You could move the admin link onto one of the My Account pages. That way you can get to it from the same site, but it's not publicly accessible.
