couple of probs
link
http://www.idontgiveajack.com/Web/pages/ Ok the first thing is, is there any way to have consistancy between browsers...ie in IE the position of the content on the pages are fine, but in mozilla the content has moved up and to the right...is there anyway to get this consistant through all browsers?? 2:i should really double check this, but i think in mozilla firefox (unsure which version) once you click on enter a full browser window comes up displaying the content in the top left, where it is actually supposed to bring up a pre detemined sized-window to which the content should fit comfortably....does this happen for anybody else?? Thanks all |

I'm not sure about the second but for cross browser layout my suggestion would be javascript.
I'd tweak the problem pages for the 3 main browsers then seperate them into folders. Then use a script to detect the visitors client and load the appropriate page for them. (a more elegant way to do that would be CSS but that may entail rewriting your whole site). Javascript can provide tons of information on the users browser and lets you select their tailored content. http://www.echoecho.com/jsbrowserdetection02.htm The only other tactic I can think of would be to stick to exact cross-browser dhtml standards when formatting your pages. http://www.dansteinman.com/dynduo/en/overview.html |
