Crystalline Shape: Cubic Crystal effect
Hello:
I was wondering if any of you know how I can get/render a crystal effect (like, what program). By the cubic crystal effect, I mean like the intro on PS2's console. Or like, a clear cube that goes over text or images and distorts them accordingly to the angles of the relfected light. It's like seeing through a clear cubic crystal, and the result is a distorted backround. Can you help? I think that this effect is really cool! Thank you for reading!, Phil ![]() |

I've not had the privilege of being in the presence of a PS2. However, I would think any good 3D rendering program would allow you to do this. You can pick up early versions of Bryce on eBay really inexpensively. However, if you've never used Bryce, there is most definitely a learning curve to it.

ehh... Bryce is cool for outside effects, but I prefer max and maya, then use very little photoshop just to give it final look.
