    Design Process For Frontend

    Hey there

I've been pondering about this issue for a while, but I wanted some feedback on how "professional web developers" started their design process. For the frontend, I am competent with HTML, CSS, and JS.

Once you have say a sketched out design. How do you build your CSS classes and decide when to implement certain JavaScript functionality.

My guess is that you write up the HTML, then decide what CSS classes will share certain traits and who should inherit from who, then go from designing from a general approach to designing the CSS for specific objects. Once you are done, you implement the JS last. Is this a "web developers" approach or is there a better way to go about this?

Also, how do I choose what classes should inherit from each other should this be done by a trial and error approach or should this be planed out ahead of time? How do I approach this?

    Thanks ahead of time

EDIT: Sorry first time posting; this probably belongs in the CSS Section T__T
