Diagonal rollover areas...can it be done?
HTML link hotspots can be circles, blocks, and diagonals I know, but I'm looking for a triangle to be the rollover itself, and not have the rollover shape be within a block rollover area.
Is this possible to do in conventional HTML (am using Dreamweaver MX) or do I need to use some other code or need even Flash? Thanks so much...I've really been struggling with this and can't find anything on it online. |

Not sure what your trying to make or how much you know about flash. Though, I highly recommend flash because when you make a button symbol you can define the hit area to be anything you want it to be, whether it be a triangle or a bunch of randomly scattered dots.
Downside to this is you will need to learn some flash which might take some time, but well worth it ![]() |

I highly recoment NOT using flash. As stated in other posts, many people don't like it, and often don't have it installed. An image map is your best choice. You can make polygons of any shape with one.
