Has anyone noticed that new domain names only take a few hours to be active. ? last year it took 48 hours . |

Yes, this has been the case since Sept 9, 2004. I used to have a sticky topic in the DNS forum announcing this fact. It actually takes less than 5 minutes with good registrars.
