forms and general design questoin
Hi guys,
I am designing a site for a mortgage company and they want their website to have a "mortgage calculator" for potential customers to get some examples of what their payment might be. The only CGI I know how to make actual PROGRAMS in is Java Servlets..... I really don't want to have to make some FULL-BLOWN mortgage calculator (especially since they're not going to pay me any more money for it).... are there any "pre-made" calculators that I maybe can purchase?
Also, The code for the site is VERY "hack". I tend to do whatever I can to get SOMETHING up there for them to see (convincing myself it's only temporary and i'll make it "nice" later on).. but once I have the site produced i don't want to go and REDESIGN it just for teh code (laziness?).... I'd like to have you guys look at the site and give me your opinions.
I used Adobe Imageready to slice up a "master-image" and had it generate the table code (problem is that you can see the table "filling" up as the site loads). I know this is bad practice and can be corrected using style sheets.... I really only know the THEORY behind style sheets, and havn't really put anything into practice... can anyone give me some suggestions?
If you all could please respond to my private email account as well as my public thread (just so I don't miss any important replies!) that would be appreciated......
my email address is firehous02767@yahoo.com
Thanks.
