Forums
Hi, I want to add a 'forum' page to my firms intranet site where people can post questions and other people can post answers. I'm not looking for a complete 'This is how to build a forums site' answer, but I dont even know where to start! I just want to know what language I would use so I can start researching

Hi,
You will need access to Server Side technologies, such as PHP, ASP or the likes. You would probably need a database too to store messages, though you can use text files as well. Try searching for forums at hotscripts for example. There are hundreds out there ![]()

You'd be better off just downloading a forum package rather than writing your own from scratch. phorum makes a good low-impact intranet forum; IPB is a great board for heavy traffic intranets or internet sites.
