does anyone know where to get free fotographs for a commercial web site?
i only found free graphics or foto's for non-commercial use!

any help appreciated.

What are you looking for? In particular or just generally. The subject I mean. If it's motorsport, you're in luck.

You could look on magazine CDs/ DVDs. Sometimes they give away either full or demo versions of photo/ clipart packages. I have a demo of Hemera Photo Objects, the images of which can be used commercially. There's about 40 or so.

It's a great package if you want to buy it. Very useful piccies. I'm going to when I get some cash.

Other than magazines, you have to look very hard on the 'Net. There are some places out there that offer totally free stuff but you really do have to trawl through a lot of 'free graphics' sites to find them. Best to give yourself a couple of hours solid surfing and you'll probably turn something up.
Try Altavista's image search but remember to turn off the Affiliates like EyeWire and Corbis. Hotbot.com has a image search facility too, though no thumbnails if I remember correctly.

Use '+' and '-' in your searches (+free +photos -royalty-free).
