Google News

Hi,
I have a small news site in which I feature technology news and stuff. Google excepted my site into their Google News program so now my news stories get linked on Google.

I was wondering if Google News really brings in the traffic. How much traffic does Google News brings in?

I don't have a very good stats program I don't know the exact stats of my site and I can't compare.

Do you have php or some other server side language?
If you do, what you can then do is code a script and include it in each page.
The script will do only one thing, it will track the referrering page.

This might be enough to give you an idea of what kind of traffic you're getting, and from where. You can try looking on www.hotscripts.com for a free stat counter script.

Alternatively, there is a really great traffic counter supplier..offering the service for free. They put an icon on your website, but supposedly they have a really great stats program. Do a google search for "free stat counters" or similar. You might fine them. It's purplish icon..
