Help & Ideas from the Community Please!
Hi all please take the time to read it means a lot
I really need some help and inspiration from all my fellow web developers members. I am approaching my 4th and final year in university in September and as part of the course I have to create a final year project which is worth 40 credits and works out to be one third of the final year overall mark. Iím really keen to obtain a good degree so Iím already starting to think about things now even though my project is due for hand in next may. Thereís 400 hours approx. allocated for this alongside other modules.
Six months ago I was introduced to microsofts open source umbraco API and instantly fell in love with it and I would love to base my final year project on upon it's framework. However, at this time of writing Iím only a novice with basic knowledge of the fundamentals but Iím learning new things every day.
One example he gave me was something like a map that that displays address locations and when you hover over a specific location the Java script is activated and the full address displays.
So now I have been left thinking of what I can come up with? I need a unique idea/theme to base my CMS upon and one that will completely immerse my audience and WOW the people who will be marking my work. I also need to pay attention to responsive design and ensure whatever I create works equally well on other devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Any feedback, idea suggestions or links would be much appreciated and will hopefully help me on the road to using umbraco to gain a good degree and hopefully secure a job in the future.
Hope you guys can help and thanks in advance

Just take notice that hover functionality can be done with the newest version of CSS:

Thanks for your reply and the link . Ill be sure to have a look at the new things that I can do with css3. I suppose the thing I'm after from this post is to generate some ideas to base my project upon. Once I can come up with a good idea then I can press on with the development but again thanks for your response!
