How can I get Form information in a MS Frontpage discussion page copied to a database

Hello All,
I am pretty new to web design. Wondering if anyone might know how to get the field information entered on a discussion website created by Frontpage to copy to a database as well as the screen. I can do one or the other, but not both. Appreciate any help. Dev Shed is an awesome site by the way.

All The Best,
Brad

Sorry for the poor explanation. I meant I can get the form to post the information to the discussion page or I can set up a form to save the information to a database. If I try to cut and paste the code from the database setup into the discussion page code, it will only follow the first section of code, be that either the discussion page or the database depending on which piece of code I place first sequentially.

Regards,
Brad.

it would help if you post some code, but generally it should work by doing something like this:

PHP Code:
<?
$myVar
$_GET["myVar"// or POST
$sql "INSERT INTO table (tablefield) VALUES ($myVar)";
mysql_query($sql);

echo
$myVar;
?>
