how much to charge

Well although I have been messing around with html and stuff for a while I have never actually made a website for somebody else and charged for it. So for my first job I am kinda lost on what is fair. I would say I have about 10-15 hrs into it. I took all the pictures and wrote all the copy. It is for my Uncle's Business.
here is what I have so far http://attila.sdsu.edu/%7Ehalac/colors/for%20free/

ohh and do I have to ask permission to use manufacture's logos and links to their sites?

and any tips on design would be appreciated too

Thanks,
Jason

The way you are using the logos you will not have any problems. Actually, you make them a favor.

The design in general is fine, but some of the pictures are not picture perfect.
For example on this “delivery” page:

The container of garbage on the left side of the picture could stay out of the picture. The reason for this is that the container as some white text on it, I do not know why but it is distracting.

I did a quick example of a more eye-catching photo. [See attachment]
The trick here is to remove the garbage dump; I did it by adding another Savana3500.
Of course, there are hundreds of ways to make that picture look better, but this way is cool too.
If you like it, download it, crop and use it, it’s yours after all

A large portion of designers charge an initial fee and then an hourly wage ontop of that. Be sure to guarantee satisfaction to increase the duration of your work and thusly your pay. Although you shouldn't purposely perform poor quality work to increase your charge.

Myself, I give discounts to family and friends. It's generally a good gesture and will ultimately proove beneficial to you, for that you'll have more experience and items in your portfolio to rake in more jobs.

I don't think there's a problem with you linking and using an authority sites logo as long as you don't claim it as your own. Doing so will just be advertising for them.

G'luck.

ipunkrock: you posted this thread in two forums, but since they both had replies, I've merged them together.
