How should I approach this? Help needed!
I need to alter a website so that it puts the headlines from a news page onto the home page.
At the moment, the people manually edit their news page. I would like to be able to create some sort of function that will parse the news page and grab the headlines from it. Then I assume I can display them elsewhere. I have no idea where to start....can someone point me in the right direction please? Oh, and I was hoping to do it in javascript or similar, as I don't have access to the any server settings so cant install databases/php etc....

Where are the news headlines coming from?
You could use a Javascript Newsfeed - there is an example on http://www.about.com somewhere or you could just have an iframe or similar that would contain the headlines.
