Center it...horizontally, vertically? Center the text?
If you have a block-level element a width, margin:auto; will center it horizontally within another element.

Clarify and include a link to your site if you can, the answer to your question depends on your layout.

Again, how you center depends on your layout/content.
This will center a site horizontally:
PHP Code:
 body text-aligncenter/* for IE */ }
div#wrapper {
background:#ccc;
/* horizontal centering */
text-alignleft/* for IE */
width:80%;
margin-leftauto;
margin-rightauto;

Where width is the width you desire (in %, pixels, etc)

Vertical centering usually requires you know the exact height of your element and just what you do depends on that, so I cannot give a 'general' howto on that. Check out DeadCentre for a technique I've used, or google 'html center vertical horizontal' for a plethora of pages.

jakpsatweb has a vertical centre solution that shows promise, but I haven't tested it myself yet.

Good luck.

You ended that sentence with a preposition!

Or

What I do when I want to make sure it's centered (I use dreamweaver for touchups) is just cut and paste the whole site into 1 table, and center the table. voila1
