how do i create a PNG file ?

i have heard and seen discussions about it but how can i create a png file ?

can i use php to create it ?

can i use a web browser to view a .png file ?

You can create .png files with programs like photoshop, gimp etc, and convert other images to png's with the said programs. You can use GDlib (and libpng) to create png's with PHP, PERL and lots of other languages. PNG files are viewable with all modern browsers.
