Hello everyone! I am new to the forums, and I have a question. I have a personal website hosted at geocities, and for the most part I use the pagebuilder that comes with it. My question is, I am trying to play an MP3 on the page, I have put in the code properly, (well, I hope so!) and it still won't play. Any ideas? Oh yeah, I also have the MP3 loaded in the same folder as the page.(did that make sense?)
TIA! Here's the code exactly: <EMBED SRC="oldandwise.mp3" WIDTH="142" HEIGHT="58" AUTOSTART="TRUE" REPEAT="TRUE"> |

that code only works for midi and wav files
im not sure if there is a way to play mp3s so you could try converting your music to midi or wav BUT midi sounds very bad and wav takes up a lot of space try posting this in the html bit ![]()

Make an .m3u (mp3 playlist) file.
You can call the .m3u using the EMBED. It is much better to simply make a link that a user may click on. It is rude to force a user visiting your site to listen to what you think user should hear. If user is interested, user will click. If user is enjoying Bob Dylan and your Death Metal interrupts his or her peace of mind, user will immediately retreat from your site and likely never return. |
